Step1:Introduction:

Show pictures of Martin Luthur King, and ask some questions:

The teacher may say:

Today I’ll show you a great person. In the picture, he is delivering a great speech. The speech is well known all over the world immediately. Do you know the name of the speech? (I have a dream)

Do you know the great black women who refused to give her seat to a black man? Remember her name, her name is Rosa Parks. Then she was taken away by the police and a group was formed to demand that the bus company should change its unfair practices. Do you know who is the leader of the group?(Martin Luthur King)

King was on the march. And the lady next to him is his wife.

He is in deep love of his children.

He was murdered and his wife and children were in deep sorrow.

That is Martin Luthur King, a great person who gave his love to the world, who is respected by the people all over the world. In this Unit, we will learn about him. But I hope you can know the great person as much as you can.

Step3: Listen and answer: (Students listen carefully and pay attention to the language points.)

Listen to paragraph 1 and answer:

Step4: Reading

Martin Luther King, Jr., who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, was an important political leader in the USA. He fought for political rights for black people in the USA. By doing this he set an example to the rest of the world. The message he gave was that black people should not be separated but should be treated as well as other people, and with complete respect.

Although slavery had been ended in the US in 1865, the southern states had passed their own laws to continue the separation of blacks and whites. Mixed race marriages were forbidden by law. There were separate sections for blacks in shops, restaurants, hospitals, buses and trains. Black children were educated in separate schools.

All his life he believed that it was right and necessary to demand changes in society if people did not have their civil rights. He believed that they could achieve their goal by peaceful revolution, not by fighting and killing.

King had made many enemies because of his work in the black liberation movement. Once, a bomb exploded and destroyed his house. On April 4th, 1968, he was murdered. However, his struggle had already changed the whole of society in the USA. Within a few years of his death, black people across the country held important jobs in government.

English Version:

Martin Luthur King is the political leader of the American black people. When he was young, the black people were badly treated. Mixed race marriages were forbidden by law. There were separate sections for blacks in shops, restaurants, hospitals, buses and trains. Black children were educated in separate demand changes in society and he believed that they could achieve their goal by peaceful revolution. He firmly demanded that the black people should be treated as well as other people, and with complete 1964, he won the Nobel 1968, he was murdered.

一、教學目標:

二、教學內容

本節課是複習課,主要圍繞本單元的重點句型What is it doing? It’s … What are they doing? They’re…展開復習,通過各種形式的操練,加強學生對本單元知識的整體把握,提高學生知識運用能力。

三、學情分析:

本單元的動物名稱和要求掌握的動詞在前五冊學生用書中都已經出現過,本冊第四單元的教學重點也是現在進行時,這樣就為本課的複習奠定了良好的語言和心理基礎。

四、教學重難點:

本單元的教學重點是有關動物正在做什麼的英語表達,難點是十個動詞-ing形式的四會掌握。

五、教學過程:

Step 1. Warm-up

教師先做自我介紹,然後詢問學生:Do you like animals? Let’s go to a nature park today.

(設計意圖:師生對話,利用學生對動物的喜愛,創設去自然公園的情境,將學生帶入學習狀態。)

Step 2 Review the four-skill words and phrases

1、出示很多動物在自然公園的圖片,師提問:What animals do you see? 讓學生先熟悉圖片中出現的動物,再提問:Look at the horse. What is it doing?來複習單數形式的重點句子和四會單詞。教師板書重點句子和四會單詞,同時要求學生做書空練習。

2、教師讓學生試着談論圖片中的動物,讓學生提問和回答。

3、同樣的方法複習四會單詞和複數形式的重點句子。

(設計意圖:以問題為引領,以“動物在做什麼季節”為話題,通過多媒體課件演示,引導學生談論動物在幹什麼四季的天氣特徵和適宜的活動,進一步強化學生對本節課四會單詞和重點句子詞組的記憶。)

4. 問題引領,復現A read and write文本

師談話:Look , Chen Jie and Sarah are in the nature park too. What animals do they see and what are the animals doing? Open your books and turn to page 60, read the dialogue quickly and find the answers:

(1) What animals do they see?

(2) What are they doing?

學生回答上述問題。

5. 問題引領,重現B read and write 文本。

師出示三人圖片,談話:Well, children, the three girls are in another park. What animals do they see and what are the animals doing? Who can read the dialogue? 找一生起來朗讀,其他同學認真聽並找出答案。

教學目標:

1.知識目標:

(1)學會big,small,fat,thin四個單詞。

(2)會運用以下句型

The elephant is big.(劃線部分可以替換)

2.技能目標;培養學生的聽、説、認、讀能力。

3.情感目標:通過本課的學習,使學生樂於聽説英語,樂於模仿,積極參與,培養學生的合作精神。

教學重難點:

1.重點:

①能聽懂,會説所學反義詞

②會運用以下句型交流:

The elephant is big.(劃線部分可以替換)

2.難點:thin的正確發音

教學課時:第二課時

教學用具:卡片、錄音機、磁帶。

教學過程:

Step 1:熱身練習。

(1)ting (營造寬鬆和諧的英語氛圍)

(2)Waming up (吸引學生注意力,快速進入學習氛圍)

(3)Revision(複習學過的歌謠)

Step 2:呈現新知。

(1)導入:上面的歌謠中出現了幾種小動物?説一説分別是什麼?

(2)通過複習第一單元的巨型,鞏固所學知識,使學生在幸福,快樂的真實場景中感知語言。

(3)遊戲:教師説出一種動物的單詞,學生快速翻譯,並學習這種動物的叫聲或者動作。此處為教學的一個興奮點。

(4)用大象和小鳥的圖片導出big和small。通過領讀和認讀單詞讓學生充分體會到學習英語的快樂和成就感,並做一個大西瓜和小西瓜的遊戲激起學生的表現慾望。

(5)用熊貓和猴子的圖片導出fat和thin。再把四個單詞放在一起讀。做螞蟻搬家的遊戲及時鞏固複習。

(6)啟發學生説出上學期我們已經學過的一些反義詞,以old和young為例進行講解並簡筆畫板書。此處為拓展練習環節。

Step 3:小組活動,設置情境。

小組練習反義詞,並鼓勵學生説的越多越好。學生自然投入到操練中,在情境中體會快樂的英語課堂。

Step 4:句型學習。

老師導出一個句子The elephant is big.強調the的兩種不同發音,並讓學生根據此句型將劃線部分進行替換,從而引出本節課的句型,同時也發揮了學生的主觀能動性。在進行組組PK,作為一個鼓勵學生獨處所學句子的興奮點。

Step 5:Listening part.

Step 6:Homework.

把今天所學反義詞編成歌謠,可以加入以前學過的反義詞,越多越好。
