acing this audience on the stage, i have the e_citing feeling ofparticipating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more thana mere competition or contest. it is an assembly of some of china’s mosttalented and motivated people, representatives of a younger generation that arepreparing themselves for the coming of a new century.

i’m grateful that i’ve been given this opportunity, at such a historicmoment, to stand here as a spokesman of my generation and to take a serious lookback at the past __ years, a crucial period for every one of us and for thisnation as well.

in my elementary years, there was a little girl in the class who workedvery hard but somehow could never do satisfactorily in her lessons.

the teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she e_pected alot from me. but as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, i always tried to evadeher so as to get more time to enjoy myself.

那一幕，印在了腦海中，讓我感動，令我刻骨銘心。

時光之輪飛速轉動，我彷彿又回到了會考前的那個午時。

“唉，煩死了!怎樣這麼多題，一道都不會，好難呀，氣死我了，不寫了。”我趴在窗子邊的桌子上，發出我的第N+1次歎息。百無聊賴的我，坐在窗邊，看着外面陰沉的天，就像是我此時的心境一樣壓抑，好像隨時都要爆發。突然，我的眼被屋檐下的一個正在移動的小東西吸引。

烏黑的身子，小小的賊賊的圓眼睛，六支細細的手臂，還帶着許多細毛——哈，是一隻小蜘蛛，並且還是一隻很醜醜的蜘蛛。我對它一點好感都沒有。他正在自我吐的絲上織八卦圖呢，就像個滑稽的小丑在表演雜技。不一會兒，一個亮晶晶的網就織好了。看着這幅八卦圖，我起了搞惡作劇的心思。找來一根竹竿，輕輕地把小蜘蛛的網給搗破了。看着他落荒而逃地樣貌，我沒心沒肺地哈哈大笑。

又過了半小時，我看到它又探頭探腦地亂瞅，沒看到我的身影時，快速從藏身的小縫裏溜出來。看着他他做賊似的樣貌，我不禁有些好笑。心想，編吧，編吧，反正還是要被我破壞。就在我正要拿竹竿時，“轟隆”一聲，傾盆大雨澆了下來，我只好作罷。看着蜘蛛網在雨中被砸破，我的心中竟升起一種惆悵之感，有些同情那隻蜘蛛了。我感到它就像我一樣倒黴，總受到這樣那樣的打擊。我琢磨着，這次它應當收工了吧。讓我沒想到的是，雨停後不久，我又看到了一幅極美的畫面：在雨後蔚藍的天空背景下，小蜘蛛在辛勤地工作着，一根一根織出最美的圖案，那是它用自我的堅韌譜出的動人樂章，用生命的不屈奏出的美妙音符，他沉浸在自我的世界裏，忘情地織着、舞着、唱着，格外用心。我的心被莫名的觸動了。

一根根透亮瑩潤的蛛絲在陽光的照射下格外迷人。樟樹葉滴下的一顆雨珠調皮地落在蜘蛛網上，被串成了一小串，彷彿是樟樹讚揚小蜘蛛的精神而獎勵給他的珍珠鏈兒，有種讓人心醉的美。燦爛的陽光照在“珍珠”上，晃花了我的眼。望着一旁欣賞“珍珠”的小蜘蛛，我的心絃又被狠狠觸動了一下，有種莫名的感動縈繞在心間。想起他那努力的樣貌和應對困難不服輸的精神，我的心中感慨萬千。一隻小蜘蛛都能做到不放棄，我又怎樣能輕言放棄呢!我那不服輸的倔強個性最終被激發出來了。

打開窗子身外看，深吸一口雨後清新的空氣，然後竟意外地發現了一座彩虹!

那一幕讓我感動，讓我難以忘懷!
