承德避暑山莊是世界文化遺產和中國現存最大的古典皇家園林。它始建於1720xx年，耗時89年建成，與頤和園、拙政園、留園並稱為中國四大名園。承德避暑山莊由皇帝宮室、皇家園林和宏偉壯觀的寺廟羣所組成，又名承德離宮或熱河行宮，是清朝皇帝為了安撫、團結中國邊疆少數民族，鞏固國家統一的政治目的而修建的一座夏宮。

請各位繞過迴廊，來到帝后和嬪妃們居住的地方，這叫“後寢”。清朝的咸豐皇帝就是在西暖閣最西邊的屋子裏駕崩的。現在這裏展出的是咸豐皇帝和慈安、慈禧兩個皇后當年的一些生活用品和照片。
