請看，我們面前這座古色古香的門，就是避暑山莊的正門，叫麗正門，是清代皇帝進出的門。宮門面寬三間，上下兩層。下層闢有三個方形的門洞，上層有城台和闕樓。中間門洞的上方有一塊石匾，上面是乾隆皇帝用滿、藏、漢、維、蒙五種文字題寫的“麗正門”，它象徵着我們祖國是一個統一的多民族國家。門的兩邊有兩尊石獅，以顯示皇帝的威嚴。門前有御道廣場，青石鋪路，廣場東西各立一塊石碑，上面用滿、蒙、藏、漢四種文字刻着“官員人等至此下馬”，所以我們又叫它下馬碑。廣場南邊有一道紅色照壁，使這座皇家園林與外界隔開。關於紅照壁，傳説裏邊藏有從雞冠山飛來的金雞，在夜深人靜時，輕叩照壁，金雞就會發出嘰嘰的叫聲。感興趣的遊客，夜晚可以來試一試。
