百里杜鵑國家森林公園位於貴州省畢節地區中部，距省城貴陽130千米。公園佔地面積12580公頃，有杜鵑8350公頃，是同緯度上保存最完好的天然原始杜鵑林。景區內有杜鵑種類三十餘種，花色多樣，一樹不同花的景象令人讚歎，故又有“杜鵑王國”和“世界上最大的天然花園”之美稱。她既是覽略百里爛漫杜鵑，洗盡都市纖塵的“花之天堂，心之曠野”，也是體味烏蒙生態民族風情，探幽攬勝的“杜鵑花鄉，彝疆古城”。

景區主要由金坡景區和普底景區兩大景區組成。金坡景區如同一個壯實的東北大漢，氣勢宏偉，大度壯觀。而普底景區則纖細小巧，秀麗玲瓏，猶如一個淡雅的江南女子。

五彩路也稱五叉路，通過這五條路都可以進入花區。在杜鵑花盛開的季節，五條道路上都飄落着各色的杜鵑花，鮮紅、粉紅、紫色、淡黃、雪白、淡白，各色各樣，分外美麗。
