I am a volunteer of the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. Last winter vacation , we had an investigation for mothers in poor mountainous areas, and we went to a mountainous village in Guizhou province.

what I had saw there make me so sad and impressive. Some children are in clothes made of woven bags , herd goats in the frozen red faces in the cold wind touch me deeply. In addition ,the women ,who are mothers of the children ,know little about outside world because of lack knowledge do not have ways to earn money, and do not have a appropriate method to bring up their descendant either. Most of their husband have went out to work to alleviate their economic burden,leaving them take care of children and old parents. Obviously,the women’s situation in poor mountainous areas is not look good.

Compared with them, we are all very lucky people in the world. You usually drinking coffee in a bar, paying to play games in a park,and buying expansive coat in a big ything looks so bright. Therefore, I hope the lucky people will lend a helping hand to help the mothers! Perhaps this contribution for you is only a small expenditure, but they add up to love, and love can bring them happier life! The money donated will be used for helping mothers learn to read, training them to get working skill and providing women medical treatment.

The atmosphere is filthy. The air is thick with dust and burnt oil. Dark smokes are being emitted from chimneys, and choking fumes are being released from numerous vehicles. Stay a little while in a big city, then wipe your forehead with your handkerchief, it is black. Hang out your washing on the line to dry, you will have to wash again. Garbage is left to accumulate in unsanitary heaps that attract flies and give off bad smell. Nor is the pollution confined to air and land. Large quantity of sewage and chemical waste are dumped daily into rivers, lakes and the sea, which kills millions of fish. Noises coming from honking cars, rumbling machines and broadcasting loudspeakers may make a person nervous and irritable, even drive him crazy.

Environmental pollution is responsible for many diseases that are disabling, or bringing death to human beings.

In short, let's take good care of our mother globe, not only for the well-being of ourselves, but also for that of our future generations.

Dear Manager, I’m writing in response to your invitation to guests who have recently stayed at your hotel to suggest ways in which you could further improve your service.

I was a guest at your hotel last month and I found that the level of customer service was excellent. Indeed, every member of your staff, from the manager to the room-cleaning maid, was, without exception, extremely polite and helpful. The standard of the rooms was far beyond what I had expected.

However, I found that the hotel restaurant stopped serving breakfast at 8:30am. As I was on holiday, I would have liked to take my breakfast at around 9:30, thus I was unable to do so.

20xx年上半年全國大學英語四六級考試將於6月18日舉行。為維護考試的公平公正，端正我校考風學風，杜絕各類考試違紀作弊，特向我校全體考生髮出誠信考試倡議：

一、嚴格履行誠信考試承諾，自覺遵守考試紀律，保持良好考試心態，排除外界各種因素干擾，端正考試態度，真正做到誠信應考。
