明確你的目標

直入主題，解釋你為什麼寫這封求職信並説清楚你感興趣的職位頭銜。還可以順便提一下你是在哪兒獲悉這份工作的，讓對方對你的信息有一個整體瞭解。"i am writing to express my interest in the sales manager position advertised on your web site. i have enclosed a copy of my resume for your review."

展示你的技能

求職信的關鍵目的在於向你的僱主證明你是最佳人選，因此確定該職位的技能要求是重要的第一步。然後，羅列出你以前與之相關的工作經歷，並最後以類似這樣的話總結：”i am confident that these combined experiences make me an ideal candidate for this position.”

思路清晰，短小精悍

寫求職信不是作文比賽，如果你的文筆一流，適當的修飾自然沒錯，但要避免華麗的口吻和宂長複雜的句子。思路清晰且短小精悍的句子最能直入人心。不要試圖用你太過於複雜的句子來讓人印象深刻，否則會讓讀者有疲勞和困惑感。

永遠記得你的任務是——推銷自己!儘可能描繪你對勝任這份工作的信心與能力：”i strongly believe i possess the right combination of skills and experience you are looking for.”

説了這麼多，最關鍵的一點就是要put yourself in the employer's shoes ——假設你自己就是老闆，從這個角度出發來進行最後的梳理與校對工作。
