(1) 所要申請的專業是什麼，以及這個專業需要申請者具備哪些素質。

(2) 申請者有什麼主要經歷，就申請本科學位的申請者來説主要是本人有哪些特長，競賽經歷，課外活動及獲獎經歷等。

(3) 申請者的主要特質、性格特徵等，有什麼優點和缺點

(4) 申請者是否有什麼特殊的情況需要在這封信中體現出來。

在動筆之前把這些問題考慮清楚可以更有條理地對推薦信做出一個規劃。
