第一次見到這種自帶消音效果的書名。

講述的是一個分裂的故事，兩個神經質的青少年，Alyssa從八歲以後就再也沒有見到過父親，繼父是她為眼中釘，媽媽卻不聞不問，於是她變得厭世且叛逆; James目睹母親的自殺後，用他自己的話來説： 我很確定自己是個精神變態患者。九歲的時候，他將自己的手放入油鍋，只為感覺到些什麼，哪怕是痛苦。兩人陰差陽錯地相遇，談起了牛頭不對馬嘴地戀愛。她努力讓自己看起來酷，而他則籌劃着怎麼把她殺死。 Alyssa説，“我有時候害怕自己把事情搞得很糟”，但事實又何嘗不如此。這兩個沒有學會如何與這個世界相處的少年，一起離家出走，闖入壞蛋的房子，經歷了種種對抗與拉鋸。比如，Alyssa看見大叔對James性騷擾，毫不猶豫為他出頭，並敲詐了對方一筆; 為了救出差點被侵犯的Alyssa，James一刀結果了色狼……這本表面上又“喪”又燃，畫風清奇，充滿英國黑色幽默的半自傳體繪本，實際上是對英國整個社會青少年教育培養的殘破體制發起了挑戰，同時也讓作者查爾斯把圈內大大小小的獎拿了個遍。

Charles Forsman is arguably(可論證地，正如可提出證據加以證明的那樣) the most acclaimed talent to come out of the Center for Cartoon Studies. Forsman graduated in 20xx and is a two-time Ignatz Award-winner for his self-published minicomic, Snake Oil. As all we know, morbid psychology comes from the shadow of family, which causes the hearts of stern people(like Alyssa and James)tend to have a lot of pain.

Apparently, the protagonists in the book are totally “heterogeneous” in society, but they also have a soft heart essentially. You can see Alyssa, a girl with a foul-mouthed voice, would cry and say, "James, can you hold me?”

Then James who wants to kill her put his knife away.

that love was meant for beauty queens

and those of us with ravaged faces

lacking in the social graces

desperately remained at home

inventing lovers on the phone”

As the song sings, teenagers are always sensitive, which needs social concern and understanding. In addition, teenagers’ own groping and learning are also very important for overcoming difficult times.

It is undeniable that nowadays parents and their children seem to be more difficult to communicate with each other. The rapid development of science and technology contributes to their hiding behind the network.

In the course of time, everyone more or less suffers from social phobia, which lets the bad emotions take over and brings out a lot of physiological problems.

I admire Alyssa’s courage, as she smashed her phone and took James away from that repressive town.

Human nature is a complex thing, and the book has been trying hard to portray it.

It turns out that James wasn't so cool and cruel, and he didn't know what to do after killing someone, like ordinary kids.

It turns out that Alyssa wasn’t so fearless, would want to escape from responsibility and run away.

Naked, The End of The Fucking World shows the fears and confusion of teenagers in the present society, and uncovers the scars they have not yet crusted.

The youth described in the book brings a throb to adult people. Opposing Chicken Soup for the Soul coincides with our heart is a double negative.

As so often happens, this little story has a twist in the tail. James was killed by police on the beach at his 18th birthday. I feel so sorry for him. Fortunately, he understands what people mean to each other, though he is not mature enough. From my perspective, this is the true youth where we make mistakes again and again, but can always find the best of ourselves.
