女士們、先生們，現在我們要遊覽的景觀是犀牛潭峽谷景觀。你們看，從犀牛腰往下，是一道一道相連的跌水，依次是犀牛潭、三道灘、馬蹄灘、油魚井等等。在這一連串灘潭中，為首的自然是犀牛潭，它深17.7米，經常為濺珠覆蓋，霧珠淹沒。只要有陽光，瀑布濺珠上經常掛着七彩繽紛的彩虹，隨人移動，變幻莫測。黃果樹瀑布為什麼會這樣呢?這是因為黃果樹瀑布地處喀斯特地區，是由水流的侵蝕作用造成的。當溯源侵蝕裂點到達上游時，河水沿着喀斯特裂隙沖刷、溶蝕、沖蝕、磨蝕，管道逐漸擴大，形成落不洞及地下河;當地表河注入落水洞後水量的比例逐漸增大，就形成了喀斯特地區特有的襲奪，在明流注入落水洞處，就形成落水洞式瀑布。隨着水流沖蝕及策略崩塌作用不斷加劇，暗河洞穴越來越大，於是沿地表幹谷發育了成串分佈的豎井及天窗，它們不斷擴大，歸併，垮塌，就造成了現今雄偉壯觀的黃果樹大瀑布和瀑布下游深切險峻的峽谷。 我希望諸位舉起你們的照相機，把黃果樹瀑布拍下來，留在你們的記憶中，宣傳給更多的人，因為，黃果樹瀑布是中國的，同時也是屬於世界的。
